Tank Johnson has never committed a crime. All he has done so far is to exercise his 2nd Amendment right to protect himself from people who desire to kill him, something Darrent Williams should have been doing at the end of last season and something the people gunned down at Virginia Tech because of their no gun policy should have been doing. Tank Johnson did not commit a crime by purchasing a gun to defend himself without government permission because government permission is not required to exercise one’s god-given inalienable rights.
Then there’s the DUI charge. A DUI is not a crime. It harms nobody if somebody chooses to drink alcohol and drive. DUI is a bogus crime that assumes that the “offender” is about to commit vehicular homicide. The reality is that people have an inalienable right to use a car they own on a road they pay for, even while drunk or without a piece of government paper.
While the Bears have property rights and may do as they please, they are in the wrong.
